| Shauna Gilberti Righellis, TMI Director
Shauna teaches woodwind, brass, percussion, voice and piano and has over 9 years of teaching experience, including three years at North Tahoe Middle School. Her experience includes teaching general music, band, choir, and jazz band as well as working at various music camps. Shauna has performed clarinet with the Reno Chamber Orchestra, Reno Philharmonic, and the Nevada Opera. She also served as principal clarinet for the Reno Wind Symphony and the Reno Pops Orchestra. Shauna is an active board member of the California Music Educators Association’s Northern Section, and holds a master’s degree in Music Education. |

Lena Meyer – french horn, trombone, trumpet, baritone
Lena Meyer attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff and graduated with a B.A. in Instrumenal Music Education. During her time at NAU, Lena was in many leadership positions within the School of Music, and she also played 2nd horn in the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra. Upon graduation, Lena relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona to teach band at Mountainside Middle School and Anasazi Elementary. In 2010, Ms. Meyer moved to Tahoe City, CA to teach 6-8th Grade Band at North Tahoe School. During her time as a teacher, Lena has taught concert band, jazz band, general music and private French horn lessons. This year, Lena completed a Master’s in Music with the American Band College of Sam Houston State University. Finally, this spring she was named “Teacher Making a Difference” at North Tahoe School. |
Kerry Andras – upright bass, guitar, mandolin, piano
Kerry teaches acoustic guitar, mandolin, upright bass, and beginning piano and has been playing music for over 20 years. His focus has mainly been on folk and bluegrass, and has played upright bass in successful bluegrass and country bands for the last 6 years, including The Rusty Strings. He plays and teaches both bluegrass and jazz styles and has been teaching music lessons for several years. He has an easy-going and friendly style of teaching, and always strives to find the balance of teaching the fundamentals of music theory, the technical aspects of the instrument, and focusing on what the student wants to learn. He holds a certificate in Professional Music from Portland Community College.

| Todd Holway – piano, jazz improvisation
Todd Holway’s music began in his home town of Anchorage, Alaska where he studied classical piano at an early age and became interested in jazz music in junior high and high school jazz bands. He later became involved in the Western State Jazz Ensemble where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance. He currently teaches at Sierra Nevada College and plays with several local bands including Quartet Minus One, Mama’s Cookin’, Funky Miracle, the King Tide, and Downbeat.

| Stephanie Fountaine – piano, voice
Stephanie studied under Carleen Graff at Plymouth University with a focus in Performance and Pedagogy graduating in 2001. She has been teaching privately since 1996 and enjoys young beginners through intermediate students and adults. Stephanie tailors lessons to individual style, taste and learning abilities. She will provide weekly instruction in theory, musicianship and technical training. Stephanie also serves as the accompanist for the Institute. |
| Kevin Hyche – flute, alto sax
Kevin has been studying and playing music for the past 15 years. He has studied at various institutes for classical flute, including the Interlochen Arts Academy, the Sewanee Summer Music Festival, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Kevin loves performing and continues to learn about all forms of music. |
